Our trip to the windy city: Chicago

Before we went to the hotel we visited the Museum of Science and Industry where I went on a submarine for the first time. It was a German submarine which was captured on June 4, 1944 by the United States Navy. I have never been on a submarine and I think it was very interesting also because they had some German sound recordings of the captain while they got captured.

On the next day, we visited the cloud gate which looks like a huge silver bean and after a short river walk we went to Navy Pier. On the 3,300-foot-long (1,010 m) pier on the Chicago shoreline of Lake Michigan I ate a churro for the first time in my life. A churro is a fried-dough pastry—predominantly choux—based snack filled with chocolate or caramel for example.

After walking around and taking pictures on the pier we drove to Willis Tower. After a stressful walk through the security check and minutes of waiting in a line we stood in the elevator which brought us onto the 103rd floor of the tower. We went directly to the glass skyboxes and took some awesome pictures.

On the next day, we went to the Field Museum of National History. There we did a scavenger hunt. I was a bit sad about it because we just ran through the museum to answer the questions so we didn't have the chance to look at different exhibitions.

All in all, the trip to Chicago was very cool I saw different landmarks and museums and I took some awesome pictures with my friends.
